Cisco 4948 Catalyst Switch WS-C4948-S Description:

The Cisco WS C4948 S is an advanced Gigabit fixed port switch. The Cisco C4948-S provides 48 Ethernet ports of wire-speed transfer rates. The Cisco Catalyst 4948 switch provides layer 2 and layer 3 switching capabilities perfect for an enterprise or SMB network deployment. The Cisco 4948 series of network switches provide low latency connections in a rack mounted chassis.

Four SFP combo ports are included with the WS-C4948-S switch that can accommodate 1000-Base-X SFP fiber modules. The Cisco WS-C4948-S provides up to 96 Gbps switching fabric capacity with 72mpps forwarding rate. Optional redundant power supplies are available for the WS-C4948-S that provide additional uptime capabilities. The WS-C4948-S can support access control lists, SSH, and SNMPv3.
